The Amazon rainfall project for March
Apparently the goal of 170 mm of rainfall for the Amazon rainforest basin for the month of March 2007 has been met. Enclosed are the weekly rainfall maps for the northern half of South America . March is the 6th month since I began the Amazon Basin Rainfall Project in October 1, 2006 and I have been successful in the Language to Nature method for Amazon Basin Rainfall every month to-date. My hope is that I continue to have success with the Project in the future. Long term models have suggested that the forest could vanish in mega fires caused by drought. If the rainforest is to be permanently saved, however, it needs a “sustainability risk analysis,” which includes the human impact of timber harvest, farming and road building, versus maintaining native habitat.
